MEET THE CAST

(ordered alphabetically by first name)

Ashiah Bird (Marie Antoinette)

Ashiah Bird (she/her/they/them) is a writer, theater teacher, actor, and musician who has performed in local music and theatrical productions for over a decade. Some of their favorite roles include Emma Borden (Lizzie The Musical, Legacy Stage, 2023), Ursula (The Little Mermaid, California Regional Theater, 2022), Alice Murphy (Bright Star, Theater on the Ridge, 2019), Mrs. Lovett (Sweeney Todd, CRT, 2019), and Princess Fiona (Shrek The Musical, Chico Theater Company, 2014). She sends much love and appreciation to her family and her husband, Henry, for all of their support and encouragement. She’s so honored to tell this beautiful, powerful story of rebellion and sisterhood with the incredibly creative, supportive, and hardworking cast and crew of Legacy Stage. And thank YOU, arts patron, for supporting the arts in our community! It means the world.

Christi Harrington (Olympe de Gouges)

Christi’s (she/her) journey to the stage has been one of dreams, determination, and dazzling costumes. From a young age, she harbored a passion for acting and singing, seizing every opportunity from grade school through college to perform. Her love for the stage continued to grow, leading her to community theater in 2014—a pivotal moment that transformed her life. The turning point came when, on a whim while driving her son to an audition, Christi asked him what he thought about her auditioning too. His enthusiastic encouragement led her to audition for Shrek the Musical, where she landed the role of Gingy. This role marked the beginning of a fulfilling journey in theater, performing and directing musicals and plays every year. Christi is a familiar face at Chico Theater Company, but her artistic journey has also embraced the vibrant community at Legacy Stage. She has relished the opportunity to collaborate with this extraordinary cast of women and fantastic crew, finding inspiration in the brave and honest script and the character of Olympe. Christi extends her heartfelt thanks to the love of her life, Bill, whose unwavering encouragement has been a constant source of strength. She invites you to discover your own truth in this work and to consider the question: “When we women ask ourselves what is revolution giving us? And if the answer is nothing, when will we take it for ourselves?” Enjoy the show!

Demondra Martin (Marianne Angelle)

My name is Demondra Martin (she/her) and I am a Chico State graduate! I’m super excited and full of passion for this show and I can’t wait for everyone to see i!

Skylar Wondrusch (Charlotte Corday)

Skylar Wondrusch (she/her) couldn’t be more excited to be a part of Legacy’s latest show! She is a first generation graduate who recently attended Chico State. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. You may have seen her locals plays/musicals at Chico State portraying “Romeo” in Romeo and Juliet or Head of Heels as “Gynecia”. She is originally from a town called Martinez located in the East Bay but she has fallen love with Chico…who could blame her! She loves theatre because she feels it is a place where you can truly be free, and even though you are playing someone else, you find yourself being the most authentic and uninhibited version of yourself. She identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community and is honored to be part of a production that is so representative of so many different identities. She is incredibly grateful for all of the love and support from her family and friends. She would like to give a special thank you to her lovely fiancé Dominique.
