Ashiah DiAnne Bird (Emma)

Ashiah DiAnne Bird (she/they) is an actor and musician who has performed in local music and theatrical productions for nearly a decade. Some of their favorite roles include Mrs. Lovett (Sweeney Todd, California Regional Theater, 2019), Princess Fiona (Shrek The Musical, Chico Theater Company, 2014), Abbey Road quartet vocalist (Uncle Dad’s Art Collective, 2017), Ursula (The Little Mermaid, CRT, 2022), and Alice Murphy (Bright Star, Theater on the Ridge, 2019). When she isn’t on stage, Ashiah is either cycling, directing children’s theater at CRT Kids Theater Academy, or working for True North Housing Alliance, a nonprofit that provides shelter and housing. Ashiah is thrilled to join Legacy Stage for this epic show and dream role with a killer cast, crew and rock band! She sends much love and appreciation to her family and her husband, Henry, for all of their support and encouragement. And a big thank you to YOU for supporting the arts in our community—you ROCK!

Sierra Hall (Lizzie)

Sierra Hall (they/she), 24, is a Chico local with a love of theatre and story telling. Sierra has been performing in Chico since they were 9 years old, debuting at The Blue Room in Alice in Wonderland Jr. directed by none other than the director of Lizzie, Lara Tenckhoff! Today you can find Hall entertaining in the local drag and burlesque scene on the weekends, attending Butte College, and spending time with their cat Beatrix on weekdays. Sierra is so excited to join the amazing cast and crew of Lizzie and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Alyssa Jade (Bridget)

Alyssa (she/her) is thrilled to be making her Legacy Stage debut. Her most recent credits include Agnes in She Kills Monsters (Theatre on the Ridge, 2023), Casey in First Date (Chico Theater Company, 2023), Linda in Evil Dead: The Musical (Birdcage Theatre, 2022), Ariel in Footloose (Birdcage Theatre, 2022), and Sue in Carrie (Butte College, 2019). She’d like to thank the incredible team of creatives at Legacy for this amazing opportunity. Getting to work with these insanely talented ladies has been the dream. Kellen Staub (Alice)

Kellen (she/her) participated in Legacy Stage’s 2022 Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Flute. Favorite past credits include Godspell, Amy in Company, and Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family. She deeply appreciates the growing local theater community, the loving support of its patrons, and is grateful for each opportunity to collaborate and create.

Olivia Cerullo (Music Director/Conductor/Keyboard)

Olivia (she/her) is a local music director and music educator at Inspire School of the Arts and Sciences. She has directed music for shows in Chico, Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco- recent credits include Mamma Mia, Chicago, Godspell, Phantom of the Opera and Little Shop of Horrors. This will be Olivia’s first show with Legacy Stage and she’s honored to help bring top tier vocals and the rocking music of Lizzie to Chico. Thank you for supporting the arts!

Tyler Cory (Guitar 2)

Tyler Cory (he/him) is an experienced multi-instrumentalist based in Chico, California. He has worked with several artists and groups such as Nate Smith, No One, Off the Record, Van Hagar, Up to 11, Rock Mosaic, and more. When not playing music, Tyler enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.

Ken Hardy (Drums/Percussion)

Ken is a journeyman drummer making his first of what he hopes will be many appearances in the pit for Legacy Stage. Growing up in the Bay Area, Ken played for a variety of shows including The Fantasticks, West Side Story, and Santa Clara University’s production of Cabaret. While attending Chico State, he played in the concert and Jazz bands under the direction of Daniel Hiestand and Rick Winslow respectively. Ken currently works as the Associate Principal of Chico’s Inspire School of Arts and Sciences where he is occasionally called on to play for school productions, most recently Mamma Mia (2023) and Grand Hotel (2022).

Loki Miller (Guitar 1)

Loki (he/him) is thrilled and delighted to be a part of this team. He is a huge fan of all of these people.

Nancy Park (Cello)

Nancy Park (she/her) has played cello in 20 musicals for Butte College, Shasta College, California Regional Theater, and California State University, Chico. She is a Chico native who has played in the Chico Symphony, Paradise Symphony, and Community Women’s Orchestra of Oakland-San Francisco. Nancy has also participated in numerous chamber music workshops throughout Northern California.

Reece Thompson (Bass)

Reece (he/him) is a local Chico music artist, raised in Oroville, California. He graduated in 2022 from INSPIRE School of Arts and Sciences, and is currently a student at CSU Chico, majoring in Recording Arts and General Music. Reece plays bass, for both shows and in his rock band Mark 3, guitar, for his solo gigs, and has been a vocalist for both careers.

Charnneé (Stage Manager)

Lizzie marks the debut of Stage Manager, Charnneé (she/her) in the Chico area, and their first production with Legacy Stage. They’ve been working as a professional Stage Manager since 2014 in the Bay Area and Austin, TX. Most recent credits include: Kinky Boots 2023 (Stage Manager), Stage Kiss 2020 (Assistant Stage Manager), Cabaret 2019 (Assistant Stage Manager) at City Lights Theater Company, and Witch 2022 (Stage Manager) at Southwestern University.

Elizabeth Grace Davis (Costume Designer)

Elizabeth Grace Davis (she/her) is thrilled to be back with Legacy Stage as the Costume Designer for Lizzie. As the Costume Shop Manager and resident Costume Designer at Chico State, she has gotten to know and love the Chico theatre community. Elizabeth holds an MFA in Costume Design from Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana) and a BA from Ashland University (Ashland, Ohio). Her recent costume design credits include Head Over Heels (Chico State), Toxic (City Lights Theater), As You Like It (Legacy Stage), Legally Blonde (Chico State), Mamma Mia (Santa Rosa Junior College Summer Repertory Theatre), Cheery Docs (Jewish Theatre of Bloomington), The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (Indiana University), and many more.

Bruce Dillman (Scenic Designer/Carpenter)

Bruce Dillman (he/him) is a retired science teacher who builds set pieces for many local theater groups. A decent actor and singer in his own right, Bruce and his wife Jodie are doting grandparents and avid birdhouse builders.

Erin Horst (Co-Producer/Production Manager)

Erin (she/her) is honored to co-produce Legacy Stage’s Lizzie: The Musical. She is a cofounder and current board president of Legacy Stage. Erin cultivated her professional theatrical experience in the Kansas City theatre community working at Starlight, The Unicorn, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Coterie Theatre, Shawnee Mission Theatre in the Park, The Barn Players, and Gladstone Theatre in the Park. She is passionately dedicated to Legacy Stage’s mission to create sustainable and professional theatre in Butte County. Erin earned a Master of Arts in Theatre History and Dramaturgy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from Chapman University in Orange, California. Local credits include Blue Room Theatre, California Regional Theatre, California State University Chico, and Inspire School of Arts and Sciences. Southern California credits include La Jolla Playhouse and The Performing Arts Society at Chapman (PASC). Erin lives in Chico with her spouse, Kyle, and two children, James and Andrew.

Will Langley (Graphic Design & Marketing)

Will Langley (he/him) has served as a founding member of the Legacy Stage Board of Directors and is the Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer. He has been in the design industry for around fifteen years, and while working in community theater is a newer avenue of design for him, he is no stranger to the creative arts industry. Will has created graphic design work for hundreds of clients, most notably RuPaul, Jake Weber, Ricky Martin and Tony Award Winner, Levi Kreis. “I absolutely LOVE what Legacy Stage stands for. I believe in their mission, values and the community they’re building. Lizzie is going to blow the roof off of the barn, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”

Nalani Lemmerman (Run Crew)

Nalani (she/her) has been a part of the Chico theater scene since moving here in 2017. She is a full time student at CSU Chico, with goals to become an elementary school librarian. She usually performs onstage, but has taken on the roles of stagehand, assistant director and makeup artist backstage. She is extremely excited to be a part of the Legacy Stage crew for this phenomenal show!

Jami Witt Miller (Intimacy Choreographer)

Jami Witt Miller (she/her) is a co-founder of Legacy Stage, bringing her passion for acting, intimacy choreography, and directing. Holding an MFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and a BFA in Performance from Eastern New Mexico University, she has performed on stage in roles such as Lady Macbeth in Macbeth with Legacy Stage, and Elvira in Blithe Spirit at Clinton Area Showboat Theatre. Jami recently directed Shakespeare in the Park As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet at California State University, Chico, and choreographed intimacy for Legacy Stage’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Jami has proudly called Chico home since 2015, where she resides with her partner and two children.

Brandon Morgan (Sound Engineer & Lighting Designer)

Brandon (he/him) is a local musician and production specialist. While he isn’t working his day job for CUSD as an IT Technician, he spends most of his time working all forms of production for a number of different local and national groups. For 8 years, Brandon toured nationally, playing drums, bass and working production. Out of Nashville, he found himself meeting some of the most amazing people and touring in almost every state. Now that he is back in town, Brandon loves the past 7 years and working every production he can get his hands on. His most recent productions have been, Jekyll and Hyde, Chicago, Godspell, NSB’s Ballet Cirque, Believe and many more. Brandon is so excited to work with the incredible, professional and hardworking Legacy Stage.

Sarah Shoemaker (Choreographer)

Sarah Shoemaker (she/her) was raised in Napa, CA. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Azusa Pacific University and M.Ed. in Secondary Education from National University. She is a tap dance instructor at Chico Creek Dance and is an alumnus of Karida Griffith’s Tap Teacher Lounge. Sarah has been on staff at Inspire School of Arts and Sciences since 2014, where she teaches dance and theatre performance. Previously, she founded the dance program at Maranatha High School in Pasadena, CA, and served as its director for seven years. Sarah has nearly 20 years experience choreographing for regional, educational, and community theatre throughout California; recent choreography credits include Mamma Mia, West Side Story, and Godspell. She feels incredibly honored to work with Legacy Stage and this extraordinary group of theatre artists.

Lara Tenckhoff (Director)

A graduate of CSU Chico with a degree in Theatre Arts, Lara Tenckhoff (she/her) is thrilled to be directing for the company she co-founded with Jami Witt and Erin Horst out of a desire to bring sustainable, professional theatre to her hometown of Chico, CA. Beyond being the recipient of prestigious accolades during her time at CSUC including the Brooks Thorlackson College of Humanities and Arts Outstanding Student Leader (2017), CSUC Outstanding Theatre Student (2017), and The Larry Wismer Drama Scholarship (2015, 2016), Lara was one of thirty students selected throughout the entire CSU system in 2015 to travel to Turin, Italy to study Commedia Dell Arte and clown for a summer at Italier Teatro Physico. Notable professional acting credits include Blythe Spirit (Ruth) and The Music Man (Eulalie Mackeccknie Shinn). Most personally cherished recent directing credits include These Shining Lives at Inspire School of Arts and Sciences, Bug at The Blue Room Theatre, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder at the Clinton Area Showboat Theatre for which she received the River City Reader’s award for Best Direction of a Musical. All the gratitude for her truest loves, Jake, Penny, Eloise, and Vivi, who make the world truly magical.

Kendall Young (Run Crew)

Kendall (she/her) has been involved with community theater onstage and offstage for many years. Some of her passions include music, spending time outside and supporting local theaters. She feels honored to be apart of her first Legacy Stage production with a cast and crew she truly cares about!
